A rare and ethereal survivor of the early Art Deco period. This authentic antique gown is crafted from a heavy, liquid-soft sage green silk with a luminous satin finish. It features a stunning off-the-shoulder portrait neckline defined by a wide, hand-embroidered yoke detailing. The fabric is gathered expertly into the yoke, allowing the silk to flow in a dramatic, full-length columnar drape. This museum-quality garment is an exceptional find for collectors of pre-war luxury intimate apparel or for a unique vintage bridal look. The perfect dress summer dress. You could use a belt to enhance the waistline. • Era: Late 1920s to early 1930s. • Material: 100% Heavy Silk Satin / Hand-Embroidery. • Color: Pale Sage Green / Celadon. • Details: Portrait neckline, hand-embroidered yoke, short flutter-style coverage, floor-length. • Condition: Excellent condition washed ready to wear small mark and a very very faint design on the back I assume this was to embroidery that area but wasn’t ! This mark fainted when I washed it.
